How To Reheat Bacon In The Microwave

All my life cooking, I have always been working to make my family happy and come together either for the weekends, holidays or even family together sessions.

Remember one way to make the family happy is through the stomach.

In this article, I am going to share some of the ways I use to reheat bacon so as to have a fantastic breakfast, dinner or lunch…because let’s be honest bacon is good for every meal.

Reheating bacon in the microwave

Most families prefer the taste of bacon to other types of meat.

As you well know that bacon comes from pig and has lots of fats making it delicate when it comes to cooking.

Furthermore, reheating can be tricky as it is easy to spoil the taste of the bacon.

Here is a step by step procedure of reheating bacon and still making it taste good…

1.Lay the strip of bacon safely on the plate

With a careful lay of bacon on the microwave plate, it will avoid the overlay of other strips, making it harder for other pieces to cook well.

More so, spacing it up improves the crispiness of browning of the bacon. Make sure to line them all up using paper towels. As this will make it safe.

2.Use another paper towel to cover up the bacon

As you have considered using the first paper towel on the microwave plate, also use another paper towel to cover the top of the bacon.

Doing this will prevent the major spill-over of cooking oil, making the microwave look so gross after use. It will make it harder to wash off the fats when it has dried up.

3.Put the plate in the microwave and reheat for about 20 seconds

Consider not to extend the reheating time as it will destroy the taste of bacon also, it will make it be too hard since it had been previously cooked.

Make sure to use a good microwave that has a good timer that would not extend the heating timer to a point the food becomes smoked out.

4.After the first reheat, make sure to monitor if the bacon is hot enough

If you are not satisfied with the level of heating i.e. (the bacon still has some cold in them).

You can further reheat it for about 20 more seconds and make sure that the temperature does not exceed 165 Fahrenheit.

5.Once the bacon is done, transfer to a clean plate

The reason for this transfer is that during heating, there is much oil coming out of the bacon overflowing through the plate despite the use of a paper towel.

The transfer makes you look hygienic and that you can handle food products carefully.

At this stage, you can now sit down with the whole family and enjoy a tasty breakfast.
