A couple of weeks ago my Ninja Foodi suddenly stopped working and began displaying a code I’d never seen before – ERR8.
After a lengthy amount of research and testing, I found that the ERR8 code means that the appliance has an internal error.
Luckily, I was able to fix the ERR8 code by resetting my appliance. However, if this doesn’t work you’ll need to get a replacement unit from Ninja Foodi customer support. This is free if your appliance is under warranty or $120 otherwise.
After my own first-hand experience with this fault I wanted to go ahead and share how I fixed this issue – and what I’d have done had to reset the appliance not worked to help you if you’re in the same situation.
How To Reset A Ninja Foodi
There is no reset button on the Ninja Foodi, however, you can reset the appliance by disconnecting it from a power supply for ten minutes.
As such, if you’re getting the ERR8 code I recommend unplugging the appliance from the plug socket and setting a timer for ten minutes.
If after ten minutes the ERR8 code no longer appears then you should be able to use your Ninja Foodi without any further issues.
However, if your Ninja Foodi still shows an ERR8 code having been switched off for ten minutes then you’ll want to go ahead and contact Ninja Foodi customer care.
How To Contact Ninja Foodi Customer Care
Luckily, I’ve only ever had to contact Ninja Foodi customer care once with an issue with my appliance.
However, when I did I found the experience to be incredibly smooth and very helpful – it’s a shame the same can’t be said for all the other customer care departments!
You can contact Ninja Foodi customer service can be contacted on 1-877-646-5288.
If your appliance is under warranty then Ninja Foodi will be able to offer you a replacement base unit for free which will fix the issue.
However, if your appliance is not under warranty then you will be required to purchase a new base unit for $120 (at the time of writing).
Buy A Replacement Unit
Given that a new base unit for the Ninja Foodi is $120, it can sometimes be worth purchasing an entirely new Ninja Foodi appliance instead.
This gives you a brand new appliance, along with some spare parts from your old faulty appliance that you can either use as extras or sell to offset the cost of your new appliance.
