Some people say that it has too many bones and it will take you a lot of time when eating.
Some believe that it is inedible.

ToggleHow To Cook Roast Pike
When it comes to matters of the kitchen, that is where I excel.
Being a mother and a wife, I had to learn how to cook different types of food that I was sure my family would love.
I had to develop a passion for cooking and trying different recipes for different meals.
My main aim is to see to it that my family enjoys the meals I prepare for them and that they are satisfied.
Delicacies such as pike took me a while to convince them because people do not consume them widely.
I did not have to do much convincing because after they had a taste of the meal, it was hard for them to stop feasting.
I am going to share with you a recipe for roasted pike below.
- You will the following ingredients
- Onions
- An oven
- Sliced lemons
- French meuniere sauce
- Garlic
- Parsley
Step 1: Cleaning
Clean the pike with plenty of water to get rid of any dirt.
Make an insertion from the anal fin up to the head.
Remove the pike’s innards and clean them using cold running water.
The running water ensures that all the dirt goes down the drain.
Make four diagonal cuts on the pike’s skin which you will place on the upper side when baking so that the sauce can penetrate evenly on the fish.
Step 2: Mardinading
Peel a large onion, then slice it into medium sizes. Clean the lemons and slice them as well in preparation for cooking the pike.
Arrange the onions and lemons neatly on the baking tray to create a bed for the pike.
Set the pike on top and preheat the oven to 375F/190C/Gas mark 5.
Step 3: Creating A Sauce
At this stage, you should prepare the ingredients for the sauce and then cook it.
Melt two ounces of butter in a saucepan till it is brown. Chop fresh parsley and grate a piece of garlic (or try black garlic oil) as well.
Squeeze the lemon to produce juice that you will use as part of the sauce.
Remember, this is a mouth-watering dish you are preparing for either your family or yourself.
When all your ingredients are ready, add them to the pan so that they can heat using the melted butter.
At this point, the sauce is ready to pour it over the pike generously.
Step 4: Cooking
Use a sheet of aluminium foils to cover the baking tray. Put it in the oven to cook for about 25-30 minutes.
You will need to check if the pike is ready or not. Carefully peel back the foil since you may experience burns from the escaping steam.
Insert a skewer into the thickest part of the fish, and if you experience a little resistance, then the fish is ready. Serve it with an accompaniment of your choice.
That’s How To Cook Pike
Pike is an amazing meal that you can eat at any time of the day during any occasion.
You do not have to refrain from enjoying the meal due to some lame reasons.
