Ingredients needed for cinnamon baked pears Caramel sauce recipe

I’ve got 3 kids, so with myself, husband, mom, and dad over for a meal, I find that this particular recipe serves 8 people,

Ingredients

  • 8 pears that have been peeled, cored, and halved lengthwise
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of light brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cream
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup orange-flavored liqueur
  • ½ cup chopped up cherries

Take your chopped-up cherries and place them in a small bowl. The orange liqueur will need to be heated.

When it is just about boiling, pour the hot liqueur over the cherries and allow the cherries to absorb the liquid.

It’s time to put your oven on to 350°F.

How To Cook  Cinnamon Almond Baked Pears Caramel Sauce

  • Take a small saucepan now and over low heat, melt the butter, and then stir in the cinnamon. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love the smell of the butter and cinnamon sizzling away in the saucepan.
  • Arrange your pears in a baking dish that is not greased. My baking dish is about 12 inches by 9 and it works well for me. So place your pears with the cut-side- up and brush them with some of the cinnamon butter.
  • Next, place the liqueur-soaked cherries into each of the pears.
  • Place the pears into the oven uncovered. They’ll need to bake for roughly 35 minutes. During their time in the oven, you can brush them with some more cinnamon butter.
  • In your saucepan, the next step is to mix the cream, sugars, and corn syrup over medium heat. Then heat to boiling, reduce the heat to low, and simmer until mixture reaches 238°F. Then it’s a case of pouring this hot caramel sauce onto a small plate and arranging 2 pear halves on top of the sauce. You can drizzle some of the sauce over the pears too.

And that’s it. Then it’s just a case of serving it up. Among all my feasts of favorites, my family always asks for this treat.

It’s so popular I’ve decided to share it with you and see if you don’t find it as mouthwatering and eyecatching as what we do.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I and my family do.
